London Day 2

Another lovely sunny day in London and warm. It was a bank holiday (public holiday) in England yesterday so plenty of sightseers around. We decided to take the Big Bus around London. It took quite a while and there wasn’t much we didn’t see.
We had lunch in Regents Park very near the rose garden and then took a boat trip down the Thames to Westminster.
Tower Bridge
I think London was at its best .Warm with a cool breeze and with clear blue skies and all the flowers out it was beautiful.

Today we are off to Wales for the start of our Canal Boat holiday. The forecast for the next few days is about 14c and rain !! Lets hope they are wrong. Anyway we are packing jumpers , rain coats and books and games just in case.

The next update will probably be when we get back.

Our holiday has started !!

We arrived yesterday in London after a very smooth flght. Chris managed to get a reasonable amount of sleep but i found it hard. I watched 7 movies so didn't waist my time !
The weather in London was lovely yesterday, warm with a cool breeze so we spent the day walking around London. We walked through Kensington Gardens to Marble Arch and then along Oxford St. I really enjoyed looking at all the shops that I used to go to many many years ago. Selfridges, Libertys, Fortnum & Masons just to name a few.

We ended up at Buckingham Palace and caught the tube home. Jo cooked us a lovely meal and then it was off to bed, about 7pm !!
