We arrived in Italy very late on Saturday night and by the time we reached our little village, Bomerano, in the hills it was early on Sunday morning. The journey was pretty exciting as everyone was still up and there were traffic jams everywhere. The last part of the journey was up steep and windy streets which were full of cars. There were many kerfuffles and near misses but we arrived safely. In Bomerano when we arrived they had some sort of religeous festival and there were fire works, street decorations and a market, very lively.
The first day we walked in the hills to Monte San Angelo. There were certainly some very steep bits, or as our guide Christine would say, 'just a little bit up'. There were fantastic views of Positano and the coast. We finished about 2.00pm so wasn't too tiring a day. The walk finished in a little cafe where we had a lemon soda. Lemons are grown in this area so there are many lemon specialities.
Dinner in the evening was four courses which i think will happen every night. No chance of coming back thin !
Above is a picture of the type of view we had unfortunately it was a bit hazey so our photos didn't come out very well. At least it was dry but more of that later.
